Rivesaltes concentration camp
Rivesaltes 1941
On June 27, 1941, Helene Lindner Richheimer died at the Rivesaltes camp in France (photo at right shows barracks in 1997, and in 1941 at bottom). Her brother-in-law, Heinrich Richheimer, perished at the Theresienstadt camp in 1942.
We can trace the Richheimer family to Gemingen, Germany from about 1720; they lived in the same small town for over two hundred years before the Nazis scattered the family across the world.
